Not only Revelation of the Snail we find in the Film. I remembered how senor Mengs opened my eyes on the fact that Stalker's thought on the softness and hardness is a direct quoting from Tao Te Ching, chapter 76. And there's more to wonder about. Think of the Zone: "The one who brave and agressive dies, the one who brave and non-agressive shall live... Tao of the heavens doesn't fight, but can win. It doesn't speak, but can answer. It comes on it's own. It is tranquil and can manage things..." (73) Think of Tarkovsky's camera: "Water is the softest and weakest creature in the world, but in defeating hard and tough it is superior..." (78) ^^
